Job Description
The Global Business Development Manager (GBDM) / Bid Manager is responsible for developing and executing business development strategies aligned with the company's growth objectives and customer requirements.

This role plays a pivotal part in supporting both regional and global bid activities, steering end-to-end bid processes, and coordinating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, compliant, and competitive proposals.
The GBDM also ensures strategic alignment, financial viability, and execution consistency across opportunities.

Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Strategy

Develop and implement business development strategies in alignment with corporate objectives.

Identify new business opportunities in coordination with Regional Sales Teams (CSSM).

Propose innovative business models and service offerings tailored to market and customer needs.

Conduct strategic sales reviews and roadmap updates annually, with monthly progress reviews alongside Regional Sales Directors.

Bid Management

Support CSSM for OEM bids and Sales; support GBU Sales for Global Bids.

Lead the development of bid strategies that align with customer requirements and internal capabilities.

Approve Business Plans and associated support hypotheses for both regional and global bids.

Ensure end-to-end management of the bid lifecycle: from opportunity qualification to submission.

Ensure all proposals are submitted on time and meet the highest standards in quality and compliance.

Collaborate with sales, technical, legal, and financial teams to prepare bid responses.

Participate in negotiation phases as needed to secure favorable contractual terms while maintaining profitability targets.

Governance & Monitoring

Ensure compliance with customer specifications, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.

Monitor bid performance and provide regular reporting and analysis (e.g., SCORE, Sales Funnel, Power BI dashboards).

Maintain accurate and comprehensive bid documentation including business plans, communications, and pricing data.

Organize and lead weekly reviews for S0-S2 offers with GBU, CSSM, FI/FA, and Benchmark teams.

Ensure data consistency and traceability across sales tools (Inshare, SCORE, Power BI, Excel trackers).

Drive continuous improvement through feedback loops and lessons learned from past bids.
